Le Nouveau Young
You’re at a Coldplay concert and catch a glimpse of a painstakingly youthful being who doesn’t look a day over 26. Dumbfounded, you wonder—how does this young person know all these songs from the late ‘90s?
But before giving it more thought, you overhear their age… A mere five years your junior.
Heck, you thought you could have raised them.
Meet Le Nouveau Young.
They are the distinctively ever-youthful portion of the population rising by the minute.
As you get older, they get younger.
Le Nouveau Young range anywhere between 30 to early 40s—well, they could be any age. Being Nouveau Young is, after all, A MINDSET, an EMBODIMENT.
Unlike someone going through a mid-life crisis who desperately tries to recapture their youth, Le Nouveau Young just never got old.
Why?
The answer is simple.
They never bought into the ideas society thrusted onto them about what age means, cracking the code when they did not turn into a pumpkin at thirty.
There was no throwing in the towel or slipping on the proverbial granny panties, only living their best lives. Because, as they’ve come to understand—maybe more than any previous generation—they only have “one wild and precious life” (to quote Mary Oliver).
As the ultimate architects of their life, blueprints don’t exist for them. Although, they do feel inspired not to live the unfulfilled lives of their parents.
Married by 30? Nope.
House and a picket fence by 33? Highly unlikely (and slightly cringe).
Pregnant by 35? Not even close but still open.
Traveling around the world and working remotely at 38? Always a possibility.
Career switch at 40? Maybe.
Still believing in their dreams at 42? Yes.
Prioritizing live music and dancing unapologetically? Absolutely.
“But how do they LOOK so young?” you ask.
Contrary to popular belief, it’s not any frozen-face-making or plumper agent.
The gym visits, dancing, and green smoothies do help, but “the secret” is living a life on their terms, which renders a beaming glow—with fewer crow’s feet and frown lines.
As within so without.
It’s not that Le Nouveau Young don’t accept their age, they just know it’s not “old.”
By thirty-ish, they’ve just started to grasp who they are. And within their newfound wisdom, there is so much power and freedom. They can then move with ease in the world, like a dance. And dance they do.
They become younger with each year because, as far as they are concerned, the best years are still in front of them.
For Le Nouveau Young know their life defines their age and not the other way around.
